The JDRF Illinois Chapter is proud to honor John J. McDonough for his outstanding commitment and service to JDRF. The Best of Illinois honor is the highest form of recognition given by the JDRF Illinois Chapter and is held to acknowledge an outstanding leader in our community.

This year, John is marking his 70th year living with type 1 diabetes (T1D) – a remarkable milestone. John’s life serves as a beacon of hope; a living example that, with careful attention and unwavering perseverance, all children and adults living with T1D can live rich, full lives.
