Length: 3K (2.0 miles)

Walk Day Information:
All participants must park at the Metra lot, located at 154th (Jillian Drive) and 108th Ave., conveniently located behind Centennial Park. There is a trail leading from the parking lot to the walk site. There are over 2,000 parking spaces available.

Bicycles and rollerblades are not permitted.

Dogs are allowed in Centennial Park as long as they are leashed.

Bring your walker collection envelope along with all collected funds, completely filled out with team name, team captain, incentive prize choice and Walk site. Remember, we need a separate envelope for EACH individual who has collected pledges! Additional envelopes will be available at the site to mail any pledges collected after the Walk.

A light lunch will be provided for all walkers; snacks and other refreshments will be available at the checkpoints along the route.

Everyone who raises $100 or more will receive a Walk to Cure Diabetes T-shirt (one shirt per walker)!

Scheduled activities: DJ, Moonwalks, Girls High School Choir, Cheerleaders, Bagpipers, Tattoos and more…

The Walk will be held rain or shine!

Directions to Metra Parking Lot:
From the oak Brook: Take 22nd Street east to LaGrange Road (US45). Turn right, and take LaGrange Road south to 153rd Street (approx. 16 miles). Turn right on 153rd Street. Turn left on 108th Avenue. Turn left on Jillian Drive (154th Street) to Metra lot.
From Downtown: I-94 East to I-55 South. Take I-55 to LaGrange Road (US45) south. Take LaGrange Road to 153rd Street. Turn right on 153rd Street. Turn left on 108th Avenue. Turn left on Jillian Drive (154th Street) to Metra lot.
From the South: I-57 North to I-80 West. Take the LaGrange Road (US45) exit north to 153rd Street. Turn left on 153rd Street. Turn left on 108th Avenue. Turn left on Jillian Drive (154th Street) to Metra lot. Construction in area! Watch for JDRF Volunteers for Directions!
